Football Mania!

Brandon has been playing TACKLE football this year. He LOVES IT!! It is so fun to watch my little boy (who's not so little anymore) being rough and tough and just having a blast! It is a good thing I always have a baby in my lap to keep me contained or I would be yelling and screaming on every play! He plays on the line... can you imagine one of OUR kids on the line! I just laugh becuase I know he won't stay there. He plays defensive tackle on defense all the time and on offense he plays the same position and is getting to play more and more. He is a quick, sneaky, mean little bugger. He has had lots of QB sacks and some really great tackles. I would sure hate to go up against him. He LOVES to hit HARD! One game he had to go up against a kid that was 190lbs. My heart was pounding out of control. My little 75 lb boy going up against a GIANT! I was so afraid he was going to get creamed. The first few plays he would hit right into him, then spin around him and sack the quarterback. After that I wasn't afraid at all. The 190 lb kid started holding his jersey, that's the only way he could contain him. He is doing so AWESOME and I just love watching him. It's weird having him grow up, but also really fun. He is such a good kid. He is so busy now with scouts, football, school and piano, but he manages his time so well and does amazing at everything he decides to do. I sure love you buddy!

This is his first scrimmage. He uses Darin's old football jersey for practice. Good ol' #8

He is #44. He's getting ready for a kickoff in this picture. I don't have very good pictures of him. This game was played in the rain. Last night they played under the lights. Pretty exciting. Their team is doing really really well.

He's such a tough boy. That's so fun that you get so into it as well. So crazy that he could take out a 190 pounder. Way to go IDAHO!

Brandon sounds so much like Darin. Darin was always smaller but so fast, quick, and sneaky too. He was tough. Father like son I guess! I wish we could watch him play. Someday. I've been thinking about you guys lately and have been wondering how harvest is going. It was always a special and exciting time up there on the farm. I loved the feeling in the air. I hope you guys are well. love ya

Way to Go Big B!! You need to start eating like a line-man so you can put on the pounds right?!! I bet you are learning a lot about the game.@
