Uncle Johnny!

Our favorite Uncle Johnny left for his mission this week. (sorry all you other Uncles, Johnny is the favorite.) He has been such a big part of our lives. He was always willing to let the kids climb all over him, wrestle with them, and tease them a lot. He loved to hold Heidi and Tyler. He would always listen to anything the kids had to say. He was always up for a good game of bang, and a few other games. He always ate anything I cooked, including oatmeal! I loved to feed him because he ate it all without complaining and he ate so fast!

We were so excited about his call. We pulled the kids out of school so we could all be there.

One of my favorite pictures. He wanted to hold Tyler, but Heidi didn't want him too. So he picked them both up!

A couple nights before he left we had a great game of kickball.

Even Tyler got in on the fun!

The night before he left Grandma and Grandpa cooked steaks. We promised our boys we would cook them big steaks when they left on their mission too.

We will miss him soo much! This morning at breakfast Kyle said, "I wonder what Johnny's doing right now?" We are glad that he's going though. The people of Toronto Canada are so lucky to be getting him.

What a great uncle!!! I'm sure the kids will have some great memories to get them through the next two years. And what a good example he is for them.

This post was so sweet Tayna. I'm a little choked up. Jonathan was my kid's favorite uncle too and so loved by all the grandkids. Your kids were extra lucky to have him next door for so many years. I'm sure they developed a special bond that will never be broken. We will all miss him so much. I loved all the special pictures of him with your family. We know he'll be an awesome missionary and be loved by many people in Canada.
