Jazz Game

We were able to get 6 free tickets to a Jazz game from our favorite fertilizer salesman, so we all headed down.... minus Tyler. It was really hard separating Heidi and Tyler. At first Heidi wasn't going to go. Then we finally talked her into it. She then cried her eyes out when we left Tyler with Grandma Susy, not because she wanted to stay, but because she was going to miss Tyler so much. It was really sweet.
One of the best parts of the little trip was eating somewhere other than McDonald's! There was much discussion about where to go and eat. I finally said, Dad is going to decide and we will all be happy that we get to even do it. They so nicely left their opinions to themselves when we pulled into Panda Express. We never take them out for any interesting food, because it usually doesn't turn out great. They were really brave and tried everything we got. I felt like it was a small victory for us as parents!! Could be bad though, now Brandon has been wanting to go back....really bad, so do I!
Riding the train/subway/ whatever it's called was a huge exciting thing for us country folk!
We really felt brave. At least I did.
We got there early and looked around and saw the news broadcasters do their thing. Then we had to hike to the top of the arena.

The boys thought it was pretty cool to be that high. Heidi was pretty nervous.
We finally got in our seats. We had 4 seats together and a couple rows down 2 more seats. It was a little bummer that we weren't together, but beggars can't be choosers.
Nobody wanted to sit by me because Dad had the smuggled in treats. Brandon finally agreed to sit by me. It was fun. He's growing up.....too fast.
Had we known that Jerry Sloan was going to retire, I would have payed more attention to him. We sat just behind and to the right of the team. It was fun to watch all the players and the VIP treatment they get. It was a great evening together, and the Jazz even won!

How awesome, that sounds so fun! I love how you made it into a big adventure, eating out, riding the train, hiking to the top, smuggling in treats. :)
