So I'm finally getting around to posting about Hawaii. It's been a busy week!
Our flight over was very uneventful. We were stopped by security because we had bread in our snorkel gear bags, which we were taking as carry-ons. It cracked me up. Who would take 2 loaves of homemade bread to Hawaii? We would! They just weren't sure that it was really bread, I mean, who puts bread with snorkel gear. Gave me a good laugh many times!
We arrived in Hawaii and we almost couldn't breath the air was so humid, warm, and thick. It was so nice, but very weird. We went shopping for food and finally arrived at the condo about 9:00.
Sunday we went to church in Hanalei, my very first branch I have ever been too. That was so fun, the people were super nice. After church we hiked to hideaway beach. It had some very treacherous steps down to it. Very beautiful. We walked around the Princeville hotel, then went to secret beach and saw the lava pools.

Monday we went on the Kalalau trail hike, which is on the Na Pali Coast. We went 2 miles in, and then 2 miles up to a awesome waterfall. It was a pretty hard hike, but so fun and just amazing. That took until about 3, then we snorkeled at Ke'e beach. It only took me 15 minutes to get going snorkeling, but I finally did it! We ate dinner at the chevron in Princeville. Great food. Watched a movie that night. We were exhausted.
Look at that amazing Na Pali Coast
This is the river we had to cross several times. Usually we could cross on big rocks, but 2 times we had to take our shoes off and wade up to our thighs. I would hate to see this river when it was really raining.
The beach, that wasn't showing because the ocean was so high. 2 miles in.
Such amazing trees.
