All kinds of Crafts!

So I haven't been a very good blogger lately. I've had other projects to work on, like scrapbooking and the new baby quilt!! I am almost all caught up with all 5 of our scrapbooks! It feels so good and the kids love them so much. It was my goal to be caught up before I started the quilt, but I still have pictures on the old camera, so I need to get that developed before I can do more scrapbooking. I decided to make a baby quilt for this baby, I haven't made a pieced quilt in a long time and a friend in Malta does some amazing ones and got me motivated to try again. You can't tell, but there are several different textures of fabrics. It is so soft, I think I might use it for the middle of the night feedings!! It was really really fun to make. My next one is going to be one that you glue the squares on and then sew the edges. We'll see if I can do that one, it's a new way that is suppose to be super easy. It's really fun to have time to do stuff like that.

Other stuff that has been happening- we have had sick kids, not too bad, but enough that they missed about a week of school, a couple weeks ago. POTTY TRAINING is our newest adventure! Heidi doesn't like to stay dressed and she will undress during her nap- down to nothin, no matter what I have on her, she can get it off. Every time I put her on the potty she would go, so I figured why not! She has been doing quite well. It is more me that has to remember to take her and I have let her go too long a few times, but hopefully she will clue in that she needs to tell me, or just go herself. She loves to poop on the potty, most the time just a little bit every time. She also likes the big potty, and to sit backwards, which requires all pants completely off. She has been completely naked, which she prefers, but the last couple of days I have tried to keep clothes on her. She doesn't do as well with clothes, but she's coming around. She has stayed dry for her naps the last couple of days and was even dry last night. I really think we can do this :) Kyle has started staying dry at night too, he's not a 50% yet, but close. We have no idea why he has started, but he loves it and so do I.

We had the pinewood derby tonight. I took pictures with the old camera to use up the film, so I can't put pictures up. Darin has it all figured out- Christopher got 1st, and Brandon 2nd. It was pretty exciting. They both actually helped quite a bit with their cars this year too. Darin has figured out a couple tricks, so when any of you get to pinewood derby time, call him up! It's all in the graphite. I felt kinda bad that we took both spots, but they were happy. It's Christopher's first year and Brandon's last.

Sorry for the novel, I don't know how to do it any other way :) Hope everyone is well.

Tayna, that looks like an awesome quilt. Way to go! The date is fast approaching. I can't believe heidi, that's so funny she always strips down, it's hillarious! Way to go on potty training though. Who knows, maybe you will have a few months free of diapers!

Tayna, I love the baby quilt. It makes me want to have another baby just to make a quilt. Ha! Ha! I'll have to start making them for the rest of you - I bought a new Bernina with our Christmas money! I'm so excited to get sewing. I can't believe Heidi is potty training. You'll be so lucky if she does it so early. It didn't surprise me about the pine wood derby. That's just like Darin to be number one. That's exciting for the boys! Congratulations!
