I can't believe our oldest is 12! We are getting old!
We had a really fun day. We had steak dinner with everyone at the river house.
He got ordained a deacon on Sunday, then on Monday he left for a week long scouting trip in Island Park. He has just grown up within 1 week. It was pretty hard to let my not so little boy go for a whole week. Talk about jump right into the YM action. I'm so excited he could go to this camp though. A wonderful scouting experience. I hope he has fun. I also hope he misses me a little. We miss him a little too.
He got a b-b gun. Most kids his age get 22's. But since we are not the great white hunter type, we figured a b-b gun was needed. He seemed excited about it.
He also got 2 packs of red vine licorice. We always have twizzlers and he doesn't like that kind.
The kids were cute singing to him.
The boys all went bass fishing for the first time. The ended up catching 4, I didn't get a picture of them all, it was getting dark by the time they finally stopped. This was the first catch before dinner. It was also the smallest by a pound. Pretty exciting to catch something other than carp!
There are some serious fishermen in this boat.
I just had to record how high the water has been this year. Crazy record levels. When they built this walk way it was way above the water. We are glad not to be in a drought anymore.

Woo hoo, 2 posts in one day.What a party you hosted, both days! I just love your kids, they're so fun, and so sweet to me and my kids. I hope brandon comes home with some awesome stories!
I can't believe Brandon is 12 either. Tayn, sorry to say it but that means you're old! j/k It was so fun to come out. Mara still keeps saying she had fun with Heidi. I take it that you lost your slide show?
Way to go Brandon!! We are so excited for you, and we hope you survive scout camp without too many mosquito bites and sunburns. You are an awesome kid and a good example to my children.
