Take Flight

I know you are all waiting for me to post about our stay in a warmer place. Sorry it's taken me so long. Things have been busy! I decided I have too much info to post all at once, so I'm going to split it up. Today is all about the flight.

We made it to the Salt Lake Airport and it was pretty busy, just like airports are. Our little country boys had their eyes wide! Christopher says "Mom, I realize how easy I could get lost!" He had his hand touching my leg until we got past security, and then even after that he was right next to my side. They all did very well in staying together. We got to the airport in plenty of time and we had fun riding the escalators- Christopher and Kyle had a hard time getting on them. (You know there is a escalator monster that is waiting to suck you up if you make one wrong step!) They liked watching all the planes take off and land. I took games to play but we didn't need those. Places to go, things to see for these guys.

I don't remember what they were doing in this picture, but aren't they cute!
Just before take off! They were pretty excited/nervous/scared to death all in one. They LOVED looking at the earth. It was covered in clouds a lot of the way though, still pretty.

We stopped in Oakland and stayed on the plane. Then headed on again to LAX. It made it a long ride, but it was fun to take off and land twice. During the stop over we went and talked to the pilot. They let the kids sit in the pilot chairs!!! They let them pull up and push down with the handle, and play with other buttons, explaining what they were and when they're used. So Awesome!

Pilot Kyle

Pilot Christopher
There is so many different buttons, it's amazing. It was not a lot of room up there. Pretty squishy!
The only bad thing we had was ears. After landing in LAX, Christopher and Brandon both had a really hurting ear. We even chewed gum the whole time. I don't think we kept up with the ear popping on the decent. After some warm water we finally got them unclogged. Kyle did fine. I was worried about him throwing up- There is a history of that in my family and he does get car sick sometimes, but he did great!
The traffic at the LAX airport was CRAZY! We were so glad we weren't driving a car, leave that to the experts.
More later! :)

That is so awesome. I have been dying to hear about your trip and am excited for your posts! Your boys are so cute. I remember my first flight it was to Disney land too! So exciting. If only we still got so excited, now it's just stressful!

What a fun trip!!! I'm so glad you got to get away and had such a fun flight (no one sick, sitting in the cockpit, etc). I can't wait to see what else happened on the trip.
