Idaho History Field Trip

The 4th graders learn all about Idaho History. They always go on a field trip to Boise, and it's so much fun! We left the school by 6:00 A.M. some of those poor kids had to leave their houses by 5:15. We head to Glens Ferry where they threw their wooden salmon that they had painted in the snake river. Their contact information is on the back. There has been a few fish that have been found and returned to the school in years past. It's really fun.Next onto the capital. Christopher was so lucky that he was chosen to ring the bell that is in front of the capital. It was really loud and a great honor for him.

Inside the Senate.
The whole class on the bottom floor looking up at the dome.

We went to the zoo. Almost left a few of the kids with the monkeys! This is the group that I was in charge of. Great kids.
Museum. Panning for gold, well b-bs.
Two headed calf at the museum.

We took a train ride around Boise, learned about some old house and lots of interesting facts. These two are Christopher's best buddies. Zane and Jaxon.
Our last stop was the State Penitentiary. Wow, it was cool. I went here with Brandon and it was neat. This time our tour guides father was a guard and he remembers being there as a kid. He also remembers some of the inmates. He used to feed chickens with the oldest inmate. He knew so much history of the place, very neat. He was very animated and didn't take any guf. "We're burnin daylight" will now be a class joke! Those kids stayed in line and didn't talk, they were scared!
This class has grown from 13 in 1st grade, to 25! They had a brand new teacher this year that has done such a great job. They also get a new teacher next year. Because the 5th grade teacher is moving. Hopefully they will get one like Mrs. Neff. We had a great day! I was so glad I could go with him. Christopher is such a great kid! He is so nice and kind to everyone. I'm so proud to be his mother.
