Happy Birthday Dad!

My Dad turned 60!!   We had a surprise party for him at my Sister's house!     He was really surprised to see all of us there.   He didn't think any of us were coming for his Birthday.
Cute little Tyler LOVES his Grandpa Doug.    They do this thing.....Grandpa says "You're the Best, then Tyler says.....No, you're the best..... or You're the best first"    It's cute.   They really love each other.

This is a very far away picture, but it's better than nothing!     We surprised Dad and had pizza with all the kids at Darcy's, then we went to the Temple to do sealings.      I'm not sure Dad was very excited....he was worried about all the kids tending themselves.    We knew the kids would do great though.   Once we got inside the Temple I think he enjoyed it more.     It was a such a great experience to be in the Temple with all my family.  We haven't done that for a long time.
Both my Parents are pretty amazing!   Just a couple weeks after his Birthday he was called to be a Bishop of a married student ward.    He had been serving as the High Counselor in the same ward.    What a fun experience to watch both my parents really learn and grow and be so excited to serve and love those married students.    They will be amazing at loving them and helping them grow in the gospel.     I'm very grateful for my Parents and all they have done and continue to do for me on a daily basis.     My Dad calls me almost every day.    Usually to check on the weather, and the beets.  But he also wants to know how all the kids are doing and what I'm up to.    I realize that this is VERY rare for a Dad.   I am so grateful.....I look forward to his calls every day.      He loves all of us so much and we can really feel that from him.   His family is his number one priority.      Thanks Dad!  I love you so much and I'm so proud of you!!
