Fun, Crazy, Spur of the Moment!

So last weekend I did something that I would have done in College. Susy and I headed to Washington to see Nolan and Ashley and their new baby. We decided and were gone in 1 1/2 hours. It was crazy and so spontaneous! Good thing we didn't know it was such a long drive or our husbands wouldn't have let us go! BIG HUGE THANKS to the guys for taking care of everything so we could go. Darin did Sunday by himself and then took Heidi to work with him all day Monday. He is awesome to be willing to do that for me.
I wish I would have gotten a picture of Susy and I. We were quite the sight a few times. A cripple and a nursing baby. What were we thinking! It was soo much fun and worth it! Tyler was a trooper in the car. The ride was 7 1/2 hours, with our 2 stops. He probably slept at least 5 hours of it. Going there and back. He is such a good baby. Susy even drove some. It was pretty exciting. It was the first time she has driven in 4 1/2 months! I was so proud of her.

It was so great to see where Nolan and Ashley live. It's a really nice place. They are such great parents. Those two little kids are pretty lucky to have them.

Little Grace is so beautiful. She was such a sweet baby while we were there. It made me sad to see how big Tyler was. He was HUGE compared to her. It's amazing how fast they grow and change. I'm so glad we were able to see baby Grace when she was still so small.

Thomas was warming up to her. He really liked his Dad and his shows! He's such an adorable little boy.

When we got back I had 5 boxes of peaches, 4 boxes of pears and corn waiting for me to do. It was a busy week. It feels so good to see it all in my storage room though. My house needs a little attention this week! It never ends...

Oh man, way to go on all the peaches/pears/tomatoes. You are amazing. I wish we lived closer and we could take turns watching kids while we caught up on house chores. We loved having you guys here, it was fun to be with Tyler too, and see what a great kid he is. Thanks for making the trip, I'm so glad you're still like a college aged girl:-)
