In front of the water fall on the Grizzly River run. It was a fun one if you don't mind getting wet. Some of us got more wet than others!
We finally made it on the tea cups! No one even threw up.

It was a lot colder this night so we had to buy the kids sweatshirts. This is also a picture of the beloved churro. They each got to pick a treat to buy each day. Christopher and Kyle both picked cotton candy. Brandon chose the churro. It gave Kyle something to think about (which treat would be chosen) and it also stopped him from asking us if he could have everything. It worked really well.
SEA WORLD
We rode a bus down to Sea World for a day. It was LOT cooler and not very many people there.
In front of the flamingos. They kinda stink...
Christopher was brave and touched a sting ray.
The Shamu show! We had really great seats. The boys were sad that we didn't get wet. They are such beautiful animals. I am glad we got to see this show because less than a week later the show was closed for a while.
Looking at the Sharks. It was awesome/gross to see they're big teeth. The tunnel was really neat to walk through.
Always love the penguins!
Sea World has changed a lot since I was there last. There is now rides. I'm not sure I like it, but the boys did. There was a water ride like the one in C. Adventure. EXCEPT, you get LOTS more wet. Thankfully I had our rain ponchos with us (because of the weather). It saved us from being miserable, we would have been drenched. There was also this roller coaster/ getting wet ride called Journey to Atlantis. I sacrificed and didn't go on it- kept the bag dry! Actually I was starting to get a head cold and really didn't feel very good. The boys went on it twice only because that's all the time we had!
Our favorite things in Sea World were the pet show, the Sea Lion show, and Shamu. They also liked the fresh water aquariums. We watched the dolphins get fed, they were jumping like crazy. The dolphin show was closed.
Darin had an interesting experience on the way home. We were the last ones on the bus so we all had to sit in different seats. Darin sat right behind the driver with Kyle. Anyway, he got into a conversation with the bus driver and basically ended up giving him some of the missionary discussions. The driver (Salvador) had been inside the San Diego Temple before it was dedicated. He has had the missionaries tract out his house and his wife always turns them away. He has actually looked up the "Mormon Church" in the phone book (so he could go check it out) and couldn't find it because he was looking up Mormon, not Latter-day Saint. He wanted a Book of Mormon so he gave Darin his address and then he wrote down the website info for himself. It was really really cool. Hopefully something will come of it. He was very interested and had lot of questions. There were some different things happen, like the only seats available happened to be behind him. The DVD breaking down so they could talk. We were going to go to Sea World on Thursday, but instead changed to Friday. The Lord works in mysterious ways. So when we got home Darin got some stuff together including a Book of Mormon and sent it too him. I don't know if we will ever hear from him. But hopefully Darin did some great Missionary work that day!
A few other things I wanted to note. I didn't get any pictures of the hotel, but it was really nice. Kyle slept on the floor on pillows, he was so happy about it and saved us $50. He was so tired every night he didn't even move!
We had a wonderful time. I love my boys so much (including Darin!). Each of them are so different and so wonderful. We really had fun just being with the three oldest and spoiling them a little. Sad to say, we didn't miss the little two much. We knew they were at Grandpa Doug and Grandma Luie's have lots of fun with them and their cousins. They didn't miss us much either! When we got back home Darin and I went to Island Park with the little two just for a night. I like this way of vacationing. Splitting the kids up. They get a lot more individual attention and it's not as demanding on me!
Love you boys, thanks for taking me!!!

That trip makes me jealous! It looks like you had tons of fun! I am sure that was some good bonding time with your boys. I bet they just loved it. It cracks me up how real things still are to Kyle.
That is a cool story about Darin and Salvador, you will have to let us know if you hear anything back from him. So cool!
Now save your money for a cruise!
Man that looks so much fun. I love that Kyle hit the deck when the natives were shooting! I also like the idea of choosing one treat a day.
That's a way cool story about Darin and the bus driver, what a good example he is to the boys. I am so glad that you were able to go!
I really loved reading about your trips. That is an awesome story with Darin. I need to do better about looking for those opportunities. Keep us posted if anything else happens. That's cool that you went to Island Park with the youngest two. You guys are such great parents. I really look up to you and love being around your family. You can tell how appreciative and grateful the boys are with going. So glad you guys had a good time.
Fun, fun, fun! Cool story about Darin! I hope something comes of it!
I'm so glad that you guys got to go on this trip. It sounded like you had such a great time. I loved the one treat a day idea. It looked colder there than I imagined. I'm glad it was pretty good weather though. The story of Darin and the bus driver was neat. I hope he lets you know what he decides to do. Sorry, I've been so bad about not responding. I'm going to try harder. I guess I'm still old fashioned and would rather call you on the phone.
Your trip looked like a blast! You were so right about just taking the older 3. I'm glad you had so much fun!
