January has started out with a bang for us in the medical department. Thank heavens it is all by choice, or I would really be sad.
Darin got lasic for his Birthday....actually just because. For his Birthday he got the prescriptions he needed for lasic! It worked out good because we were going to be in Boise for sugar beet meetings, that we just had lasic done the next day. We were surprised after we got there that he actually couldn't have lasic because his cornea was too thin, he needed to have PRK. PRK is actually the better procedure, just LOTS longer recovery and more painful. So that was a little shocking, but he wasn't going to back out now.

After the surgery. I didn't get his vicodin to him in time so after the surgery he felt like he was going to die for a few hours, but once the meds kicked in he felt much better! He is being a cool cat here on the couch!
This is 11 days later and he's all smiles! Things are still a little blurry for him, but WAY better than with no glasses. It just takes time.

Darin looks great without the glasses, and I am glad things are feeling much better. I was worried when he called Nolan in so much pain! And BRandon looks awesome. I always wanted braces. I'll miss your often blogs, it's been fun getting a catch up on you guys. Good luck scrapbooking, I'm in the same zone, almost caught up. Too bad you have like 3 time more to do than me!
I have to say I am jealous that he doesn't have to have glasses anymore!

I'm so thankful Darin's eyes are almost healed! He looks great! So does Metal Mouth, Silver Smile, Tin Grin!
Wow! Those are some big expenses to have all at once. So happy Darin's doing better. So happy he won't have to wear glasses anymore. Brandon looks great! You're such good parents to make sure he'll look his best! We're going to luck out with Madi but Ashley is without a doubt going to need them. Ughh
