Brandon arranged to borrow a neighbors post hole digger. He thought this process would be pretty easy, but it ended up being a lot harder and taking a lot more time than he thought. There were some old posts that broke off under the ground, that the post hole digger would not dig through, so they had to hand dig several holes.
It was really nice having the post hole digger.
Saturday, May 5th was the day to pour the cement! It had blown really really hard the whole night before. Brandon and Darin woke up early to be ready, and the wind was still blowing super hard. I felt like I was sending my boys out to war....going to do something they didn't want to do, but had to do. When they drove to the cemetery......the wind was not very bad AT ALL! What a Tender Mercy! The wind stayed down until they were almost done, then it picked up again. What a great testimony builder for all of us. Our Heavenly Father was watching out for them. The wind stayed going pretty hard all day at our house.
It was pretty critical that the posts be put in straight, so we were constantly leveling and checking.
All the cement was donated by a really nice family from Malta. The guys that work on our farm also came to help. It went about as smooth as it possibly could!
His quorum met him the next Monday to put all the rails in. I missed it because I was taking Tyler to speech in Logan. They said it was a lot of fun to put the rails in and see the finished project finally come together!
Brandon did a great job on this project! He had it organized and thought of everything. I was so proud of him. Darin also worked super hard on it. The whole family spent a lot of hours helping. He had so much community support and help from his friends too. He couldn't have done it without every one's help. Butte Fence from Twin Falls also donate $1,000 of the fence, because it was an Eagle Project. That was amazing! We are so glad it is done and it looks so great! Great job Brandon!! I sure love you and I'm so proud of you!
