R.I.P.

The kids had a little lesson on death today. Our poor little kitty Smoke must have been in or near the lawnmower when we put it away. We found him a few hours later. It was a very sad day. Christopher and I dug a hole and we had our own little sweet memorial. Very tender. The hardest part is when Christopher wanted to let Thunder say goodbye to his little brother, it even made me tear up. It was a great opportunity to learn about the plan of salvation. What a wonderful peaceful plan!

Now we are down to 1 kitty. A lady in our ward took Shamu- (very long story, we won't go there). Smoke died, so now we only have Thunder. The Momma cat took her little herd of 8 kitties and hid them somewhere else. We will be stalking that Momma cat until we find her little herd. We need more kitties around! With grain harvest going on all around us we are having a mice infestation.

Oh man, not the most peaceful way to find a dead animal I am sure, but that is sweet about Christopher. Hope you can find some more to take care of those mice. Did I just say I hope you find more cats? Whew, that's new.

How sad! Kyle had mentioned on Sunday to me that one had died. I love having pets, but hate having to say goodbye to them.
