Christmas Break

The 6th grade put on the Christmas play this year for the Elementary Christmas program. Christopher was Comet, the reindeer. He did such a great job and it was a really cute play.
I didn't get pictures of the other kids because the camera wasn't working.
The kids got out of school on the 16th, so we have over a week before Christmas! We seemed to always have something to do and it was quite fun having them home so long. One day Brandon had an orth appointment in Twin so we spent the whole day there. We were able to finish up the shopping and help the kids do theirs. Heidi had Brandon's name and had picked out a shirt for him at Aeropostle. She was SO excited to buy it for him with her own money. When we got home and unloaded the car her shirt wasn't in the car. We are pretty sure it got left in Maceys while we were trying on hats and scarfs. Heidi was SOO sad and cried for a long time. We told her it would be okay and that we could get another shirt. She was sad because she didn't have anymore money. It was pretty sweet. Luckily Grandpa and Grandma were going back to Twin and could get another shirt for her to give to him. It was fun to see the kids think of others and get excited about giving.

The kids wanted to go to Temple Square, but we just didn't have a good day, so we decided to go to this place in Hansen. It is just a residence. It was AMAZING! Nearly better than Temple Square. There were such a variety of lights all over and a huge village. Santa was there and he gave the kids a candy cane.
There was a gigantic camel that we could feed carrots too. It just stood there. It wasn't interested in being pet, it just wanted carrots. Tyler fed him and I thought he was fine, then he burst out bawling....totally delayed. He said the camel licked his fingers and it really through him for a loop! That is some of the problem in the above picture.
We also decorated sugar cookies and dipped chocolates.
The boys went fishing so we had extra time on our hands.
We have been making snowflakes like crazy and Heidi decided to make cool masks!

Ah, sweet Heidi. That's pretty heartbreaking for a little excited girl. That place sounds amazing! Probably not quite as crowded as Temple Square too. You guys are sooo lucky!! Our last day of school was Dec. 23.

I haven't read the blogs for a while! What some cute ones. Love Christo's birthday blog and Heidi's party! She looked very feminine for her party. Your family does so many fun things together. Your a great family and your kids are lucky to have such great parents!
