Teeth Brushed, hair combed, sleeping bags put away.......ready to open presents!!
The race is on.....Poor Tyler got passed up fast, he's behind Heidi.
Our kids always get so excited for their cereal. Jonathan asked them the night before if they were more excited for the presents, or the cereal and it took them a minute to respond presents! I guess we have a tradition now to eat our small boxes of cereal first, then open presents. Our kids started that tradition (I know we have weird kids). I think it's a pretty good idea. Jonathan wasn't the only one that didn't like it this year....
Tyler DID NOT want to eat his cereal first, he wanted to open presents. He was funny. We did get him to drink apple juice so he wouldn't be starving.
Christopher was so excited to get a rip stick!
Tyler loved his new semi.
The boys got Darin a couple ice fishing poles. They were so excited to give them to him, it was fun to watch. He also got a new snowmobile coat from his parents.
I am admiring the new tractor picture that Grandpa got the boys for the play room.
We opened almost all the presents, then hurried and got ready for Church. We had Sacrament Meeting at 9:30. I always like Christmas on a Sunday, it really helps me remember my Savior more and I love all the music and talks. This year Grandma and Grandpa spoke and they did a wonderful job.
The after math....
For some reason Heidi has been giving us this weird smile lately. She doesn't like to show her teeth. Funny girl.
Darin's Grandma always sends presents and this year they were pretty good. The boys opened them at the same time and immediately did the same thing, it was funny. They were a little small for them.
We got a good smile on this one! Heidi got plenty of things. One of her favorites is a Hello Kitty shirt that Kyle gave her.
Christopher and his loot.
Kyle got a new wii game, and I was so impressed by him. On Christmas day he didn't even ask if he could play it, I couldn't figure out why he hadn't asked, then it dawned on me that it was a Sunday. The next morning he was playing bright and early. He also got a new sled that we haven't been able to use because there is NO snow.
Tyler REFUSED to sit by his stuff and get a picture and the stubborn Mom that I am wanted it done right then. Cousins were coming over and I knew if I didn't do it then it probably wouldn't get done. So we got one with him crying.
I finally got him playing a game, but he still wouldn't sit on the couch like I wanted him too.
Brandon didn't get anything very exciting. He was still really happy though. Darin and I bought a new weight bench off ksl. We gave each kid a weight. He's excited about that.
Jenny's family gave us carcassone. It's a really fun new game. We've probably played it over 50 times. It's easy to play and fast to set up and take down. Nolan and Ashley are always up for a good game.
Christmas evening we went to Darin's parents new house in Declo for a Christmas dinner. It was yummy and so fun. We watched a Christmas movie about some missionaries. It's crazy to think how fast our boys will be on missions.......scary/sad/exciting all at together.
On the 26th we headed to Logan in the afternoon. My parents had their Christmas party on the 27th in the morning, then most the adults and some of the older kids went night skiing. It was really fun.
We had a wonderful holiday! It's so fun to have Darin home the whole time. It's crazy I can't really remember what we did all the time, but we were busy. Between Grandparents houses and parties. It's no wonder they call it the most wonderful time of the year!

I love the family picture in your church clothes. Everyone looks great! Quite the loot they all got.
Wow! So fun! I have lots of comments:
Tyler looks a lot like a Pehrson! What a big boy he is getting to be!
I love Christmas on a Sunday too - no one else does, but I do!
Who gave Heidi all that nail polish! Aaaagh! Do you have issues with spilling?
We're frustrated with the NO SNOW issue also! We really need these boys to get out and play in some!
That's awesome that you got a weight bench!
And, what's this about Darin's parents new house in Declo? Are they moving there? You might have to email me! ;)
Love you!
Looks like you had a fun Christmas!! But I am wondering why you have the kids brush their teeth before they come up and then they just go and eat breakfast? What a fun day!
I love that Tyler didn't want to wait to open his presents! That first picture of him is really cute. I like the family picture in your church clothes. Kids are really growing up if they can start lifting weights. I also love Christmas on a Sunday...it was so nice. Sounds like a fun Christmas break. Too bad you haven't had snow!
just testing
