Brandon's basketball season started off really well.......then, after the 3rd game he broke his thumb in PE. Which was a huge bummer. He still attended practice faithfully and did the best he could, but he couldn't play or really do much with his left hand. After 4 weeks he got his cast off, then just taped it for another couple of weeks. He was afraid of using it much even with the tape on, so it was harder than he thought to get back into basketball. He did it though and ended up having a positive year. Their team won the JV conference championship for the 2nd year in a row!! ( he isn't the shortest one anymore either :)
Random pictures from the year. He is number 14 with his back to us.
This is at the elementary school gym. It was a good action shot. He is a good defensive player.
My parents made it out for a few games and the little kids got the camera!
I just had to post them. We sure appreciate both grandparents and the support they give to our kids!
Christopher doing his thing.....playing with his rubber bands.
Kyle being goofy!
So I love both these next pictures. On the camera you would flip through all the pictures and it was so funny to see him not smiling, and then he instantly smiles at you......it was just funny.
They even got a shot of me!
He did his share of bench sitting this year....but with a broken thumb what can one expect.
Looks like he's taking the ball for a walk :)
I am so proud of him for not giving up and not quitting. He worked hard, and I think the coaches saw that. Overall it ended up being a good year for him. Next year it should be Varsity basketball........seriously, I am not that old!
