We were able to go to Bear Lake again this year with just our family. Our kids sure love doing this, and it is so fun to be all together, with nowhere to go and nothing to do but be together.
One of the favorite things is golfing!
The boys always like to keep score so it works perfect for them to go together and me and the little ones to go together.
Tyler was SO persistent. He tried and tried and tried. He wanted to get it in the right way, and wouldn't let me help him.
Heidi was very FAST! She would get that ball in anyway she could and move on. Usually leaving us way behind.
Had to get a picture by the huge tree with the cool hole in it.
We did some water skiing. Christopher popped right up on two skis.
Tyler wanted to try knee boarding. He did really good.

Kyle's favorite thing was tubing......he could go for a long time.
Heidi loves having her picture taken.
Tyler would want to go faster and Heidi would want to go slower.....they were a great pair!

It is always good to keep this girl busy. She thought she was pretty big driving the boat.
This year we went to Minatonka Cave.
It was a long wait, but these cute chipmunks helped pass the time.

I GOT UP ON ONE SKI!! I tried hard......like 10+ times. I gave myself 2 more tries and I got it on the very last try. I was trying too hard to get up, I just needed to stand up. I was SO happy!
Darin did some great skiing. We didn't get any pictures of him.
Heidi did the knee board too. She needs to be a little more brave.
When Tyler would get in the water, he would always come back to this little 'heater' and get warm inside his life jacket. He is so funny.
Grandma Luie and Grandpa Doug came up for a day. It was fun to have them with us.

It has become tradition to ride our bikes to LaBeau's for a shake. The kids love doing this. The shakes were really good. I enjoyed some french fries :)
I think this is the last year Tyler will be able to fit in the child seat on Darin's bike.

Her favorite thing about Bear Lake was: "everything except golfing" Everything is....swimming, biking, playing on the sand, playground, etc.
My favorite thing about Bear Lake was: Watching the kids have fun, and having no where to go!
Darin's favorite thing was: watching 2 movies with the whole family (we don't do that often), and having the best mini golf game of his life.
We also got in a few games.

What a fun, fun trip full of wonderful memories!!! It almost makes me want it to be summer again. :) I really wanted to try and get the kids to Bear Lake this year, but it didn't happen.
OH what a great post. I loved hearing each of the kids favorite things, and you have so many pictures. Good job! I have to get better at taking more.
Such a cute family in your hats!!! Everyone is sure growing up being able to ski and everything. And way to go to you Tayna for getting up on one....awesome!! I love Bear Lake and really want a vacation someday with just my little family.

Good ol Bear Lake! Brings back so many memories. I'm so happy your family is loving all the things we did years ago. I'm so glad you all had so much fun. I like how you had each one tell what they liked the best.
